You have a right not to provide information that can identify you, but failure to provide this information may prevent us from providing our services or alternatively, affect the adequacy or appropriateness of advice or accounting services we give to you.

We generally collect personal information directly from the individual by way of face to face meetings, virtual online meetings, telephone conversations, mail and email correspondence.

We will not collect any personal information about you except when you have knowingly provided that information to us or authorised a third party to provide that information to us.

We collect personal information primarily to ensure we have all the relevant and necessary information to provide our services to you, these include (but are not limited to):

• completion of documentation and application forms (e.g. Tax Returns);
• to comply with relevant laws, regulations and other legal obligation; and
• to ensure we provide you with the most up-to-date information relevant to your changing circumstances.

The following third parties may have access to your personal information:

• IT support technicians; and
• File storage services.

We will not otherwise disclose your personal information unless:

• it is required by law;
• it is authorised by law; and
• you have consented to us disclosing the information.

In the event we receive unsolicited personal information about you, if possible, we will seek to return this information to the person who provided it, unless we can determine that you have given your consent to provide this information to us. In all other cases, we destroy or de-identify the information, unless the personal information is relevant to the services we provide to you.

• our offices are monitored regularly by building security;
• all computers have password protection
• all computers linked to our intranet are password and virus protected; and
• our intranet is protected by a firewall to guard against unauthorised access.

We are committed to ensuring that all personal information collected, used and disclosed is relevant, accurate, complete and up-to-date.

We encourage individuals to contact us in order to update any personal information we hold about them. If we correct information that has previously been disclosed to another entity, we will notify the other entity within a reasonable period of the correction. If we believe personal information may not be accurate, we will take reasonable steps to correct the information.
